Well hello, Everyone,

It has been forever, eh?

We are in Palm Springs, in our own place. We got a great deal on the place, so that helps. We have been here almost a month, but are still in the process of unpacking. We do have cable, cable modem, and IP phone. So, the moral of the story is: if you want our new addy and phone #, email me.

Kym is working at Starbucks, slinging coffee to aid caffeine addicts. I'm working at Spotlight 29 Casino, aiding gambling addicts. The profits from her work go to The Man (she works for the Evil Empire) and mine go to the Native Americans...

We took the kiddo to Knott's Soak City yesterday. Fun fun.

Oh, I'm also teaching a couple nights a week at the International Casino Academy in Cathedral City. So, if you are in the area and want to learn how to chuck cards, give me a buzz.

Once all the boxes are out of the living room, you can all take turns visiting and sleeping on our futon, but I would recommend waiting until it cools down a little. Summers around here are a little brutal. In the winter, though, this place is a vacation destination.

Well, we're here. We managed to stop in NM to see some friends, but the time we went through AZ was completely wrong to bug others that we wanted to see. (you know who you are)

I was driving a U-Haul with a tow-dolly that had my little Geo Metro attached to it. Apparently, between the full load and the trailer, the U-Haul was a little over weight. I know this, because the entire time between Phoenix and Palm Springs, every time there was a slight grade in the road the truck would start heating up. So, Brandy and I had to suffer through the heater being on in order to keep the engine cool.... Not fun.

Anyway, I gotta go start learning how to deal cards.... Talk at ya'll later.

Ok, well we are finally moving out of this hell hole. Which means that our cable modem will be off today. We'll be pulling out in our U-Haul on Friday, we think. So, we'll be out of the loop until further notice. Hopefully not long.

Sorry for the absense... Sgt. Dames has been busy trying to get out of the fuckin' army... Almost there...

Lots has been going on, but not much worth mentioning.

We'll be headed to Cali soon, so if you are somewhere between here and there, make sure we have your address and phone number. And if you live here and want to hang out before we leave, give us a call.

Oh, and we aren't going to be able to go to Bonnaroo this year...   So, I'll have to catch the Allman's and the Black Crowes another time... grrr... And I really need to catch the Pixies soon, before they quit playing together again.

Hello Xangans! I should tell you some BS about having been really busy the last couple weeks and that that is why I couldn't respond to you all who commented on the last post. However, I've not been all that busy... we've only been working a couple hours a day. Other than that, I've been splitting my time between Unreal Tourney, Zuma, my wife and daughter, beer, watching movies, and fretting about how I'll support my family in 70 days or so... (and not in that order, cause you know the fretting and the beer are first... j/k!!!)

My wife and I went to a party on Saturday night, where I proved to myself that my alcohol tolerance is not what it used to be... let's just say I was hearing stories from my wife and friends that I don't remember happenning....

I need to upload all my pics from Iraq. However, I don't have Xanga Premium and PhotoIsland shut down... so I don't know where I can get free image hosting to link the pics to... If anyone knows of a free image hosting site, please comment or email me!

Oh!! I almost forgot! The funniest thing (at least for those of you who know me from the army) happenned the other day.... I made cutoff! So, I'll be Sgt Dames on the first. Which, unless I re-enlist, just means I'll get an extra $200 or so a month for my last couple months in the Army... and, I guess it is a little boost for my resume. However, where I think I am headed, it won't really make a difference. Of course, the wifey and I are discussing re-upping and putting in a warrent packet, because all of a sudden they are hurting for warrent officers... but, I'm pretty set on getting out. If I had known I was going to make cutoff (after three years on the promotion list) I may have just re-upped while I was in Iraq and could've gotten a $15k tax-free bonus... Oh well... Cali here I come!

For those of you who don't know, the Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, Dave Matthews Band, and Trey Annastasio will all be at Bonarroo this year (as well as lots and lots of other great bands!) You should all come and be hippies with me and the wifey for three days!

Ok, well that is it for now... I need to go get another beer...
